If you really wanna play and record Arma 3 in Window Mode. Make sure to set Arma 3 to Fullscreen (not sure about Borderless Fullscreen) otherwise It wont work. Just disable it for Arma 3 or close the program - then you should be good to record with Shadowplay. I checked the default folder if anything was recorded and there was nothing even if I changed folder where I want my videos to be saved.Īre you using Fraps, DxTory or any other program with a overlay while trying to record with Shadowplay? Example: MSI Afterburner/RivaTurner OnScreen Overlay. When i turn on recording no icon shows up on my screen in game or when I'm on my desktop no metter if I run game through steam or in NVIDIA GeForce Experience. I tried to record with ShadowPlay, but it doesn't work for me. Originally posted by KillingSpreeHUN:I dont know that program but if u have nvidia card, use ShadowPlay. I am recording in windowed fullscreen using monitor capture, but still even when I turn my graphic settings down to the lowest possible fps still doesn't go above 31fps it feels like there is a lock which doesn't allow my gamke to run at more than 31fps and I have GTX960 windforce, so it should be still working at least at 45fps when recording. However with Arma i dont lose frames because i have the resolution set properly, and i've alocated the correct amount of CPU Usage to it, Also i record in Windowed Fullscreen using a Monitor Capture rather than Fullscreen Game Capture. I had this problem for abit while recording footage from RS:Siege, turnt out that i was in the wrong resolution and had to drop from 1080 to 720, and thats just down to my own card dieing and becoming obsolete. You should also take a look at its priorty list to see if your alocating enough CPU power to the program, and your resoluation, if you are recording in the wrong one, then you will not only lose frames but your footage will skip aswell. OBS is pretty light but as said it will half ur frames when recording, compressing, and saving to your folders / Broadcasting.
